Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Veriify (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Veriify is an automated and AI-assisted product-testing platform. It scans a website, web app, or connected repository that you own or are authorised to test, produces a Product Accuracy Score across defined quality dimensions, and — on eligible plans — proposes fixes for the issues it finds.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 16 and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. Authorised testing only

You may only submit targets that you own or are explicitly authorised to test. Active security checks are gated behind ownership verification (via DNS record, meta tag, or a well-known file). Submitting third-party properties you do not control — or attempting to circumvent ownership verification — is prohibited, may violate the law, and is done entirely at your own risk. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary authorisation, and you agree to indemnify us for claims arising from unauthorised testing.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service to overload, disrupt, attack, or gain unauthorised access to any system; circumvent quotas, security, or access controls; scan third-party properties without authorisation; reverse engineer or resell the Service except as permitted by law; or use the Service for any unlawful, infringing, or harmful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. The Accuracy Score

The Product Accuracy Score reflects the percentage of Veriify's defined, versioned checks that passed at the time of a scan. A score of "100%" means that 100% of the defined checks passed — it is not a guarantee that a product is perfect, secure, bug-free, or compliant with any law or standard. Findings are provided as evidence-backed signals to help you improve your product, and any legal, security, or compliance signals are informational only and are not legal or professional advice.

6. Fixes are proposals

Any fixes, patches, code, configuration, or guidance the Service generates are proposals. Veriify proposes; you review, test, and decide whether to apply them. Nothing is applied to your systems without your action. You are solely responsible for reviewing changes before deploying them and for the results of doing so.

7. Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly unless stated otherwise) through our payment processor. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change plan features or pricing on prospective notice.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, rubric, scoring engine, design, and the Veriify name and marks, is owned by Veriify/Ovivid Media and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may not use our marks without permission, except that at 100% you may display the "Veriify Verified" badge we provide, subject to it remaining accurate.

9. Your content & data

You retain ownership of the targets and content you submit and the reports generated for you. You grant us the limited licence needed to operate the Service (to crawl, test, store evidence, and generate reports). You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to submit that content for testing. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that findings will be complete or free of false positives or false negatives.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veriify and Ovivid Media will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 100.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Veriify and Ovivid Media from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content or targets, your violation of these Terms, or your testing of properties you were not authorised to test.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or others. On termination, the provisions that by their nature should survive (including sections 5, 8, 10, 11, and 12) will survive.

14. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at Ovivid Media's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located there will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory local consumer-protection law provides otherwise.

15. Changes & contact

We may update these Terms; we will post the updated version and change the date above, and where changes are material we will provide notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Questions: hello@veriify.io.
